What costs money
Things you'd be paying for whether Pace existed or not. Pace doesn't take a cut of any of them.
- Claude subscription
- Pro, Max, Team, or Enterprise. Required to run skills in Claude Code or Cowork. Anthropic's pricing.
- Routines usage
- Cloud-scheduled Routines count against your Claude plan's usage. Free tier exists; heavy automation pushes toward Max / Team.
- Vendor accounts
- HubSpot, Slack, Snowflake, Notion, Linear, etc. Pace's plugins talk to whatever you already have. We don't resell.
- API costs at the vendor
- Some vendors meter API usage (Apollo credits, Snowflake query compute, ZoomInfo lookups). That goes to them, not us.
Optional: GoldenBerry enablement
We're the small team that maintains Pace. Most companies don't need help : the install, cookbook, and team guides are designed to be self-serve. But if you want hands-on rollout for a 50+ person team (kickoff workshops, role-specific training, custom skill authoring on top of the /pace router, integration with your specific stack), we offer paid enablement.
Engagements are project-based, scoped to your team size and tool stack. Email hello@goldenberry.so to start a conversation. Mention "Pace enablement" in the subject so it routes to the right person.
We will tell you honestly if a paid engagement isn't a good fit for your situation. Half the conversations end with us pointing you at the team guides and saying "you don't need us, this is enough."
FAQs
What if Pace becomes popular : will pricing change?
The router, the plugins, and the cookbook stay free + Apache 2.0. That's a firm commitment of the project. If a future paid surface ever exists (e.g. a hosted analytics layer on top of plugin executions), it would be a separate product, not a license change to what's here today.
Do I need a Claude subscription specifically?
To run plugins in Claude Code or Cowork, yes. Pace also installs into Cursor, Gemini CLI, Codex CLI, and 8 other harnesses; in those harnesses you use that harness's pricing. The MCP connector model is harness-agnostic, but Routines (cloud-scheduled execution) are Anthropic-specific.
What does it cost to install for my 30-person sales team?
Pace itself: $0. Sales reps need a Claude subscription (Pro starts at ~$20/month). HubSpot/Salesforce/etc. are unchanged from whatever you already pay. If you want Routines firing on a schedule (the Monday pipeline brief), check the Claude plan tiers : Team is usually the right starting point for org-wide automation.
Are partner plugins (Apollo, Slack, Zoom, etc.) paid?
The plugin code is free + open source. The vendor service is whatever you pay them today. Apollo charges per credit; Slack/Zoom have their own seat tiers. Pace doesn't change any of that.
Can I fork Pace and host everything internally?
Yes. Apache 2.0 license is permissive: fork, white-label, rename the router from /pace to your company name, ship to your own employees. We'd appreciate attribution; not legally required.
